We will focus in the area of D-Day actions of the Airborne on June 6th 1944

Beginning with Sainte Mere Eglise and the objective of taking the town.
Actions of the 82nd “All American” west of the RN 13, and 101st “Screaming Eagles” east of it that went from Paris to Cherbourg.
Visit places of interest where thanks to individual actions of one , two or a handful of soldiers who did more than their part, in the success of D-Day.

An important objective of the 82nd Airborne paratroopers for June 6th the capture of this village is vital for a successful operation.

Another key role to the success of the landings were to hold the bridges allowing troops coming ashore to link up with the paratroopers.
Here it will be a 3 day battle, one of the highest casualty rates of all of WW2.
